Working Pattern: Hybrid (2–3 days office based)

Role Overview

We’re looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team due to an increasing order book.

This role will suit someone who enjoys getting into the technical detail of how projects are built, rather than purely managing subcontract packages at a high level. You’ll take ownership of the full commercial function across individual projects, typically ranging from £100k to £2.5m.

Projects are mainly delivered as a subcontractor, with some principal contractor exposure, across hard & soft landscaping, public realm, and roof terrace schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account.
• Preparation and management of valuations, variations and cost reporting.
• Material procurement and supply chain coordination.
• Work closely with Contracts Managers to support successful project delivery.
• Ensure strong cost control and commercial performance across live schemes.

About You

• 4–5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
• Background within one of the following; landscape contractor, groundworks / civil engineering subcontractor, or related trades (e.g. roofing / waterproofing linked to roof terraces).
• Enjoys being hands-on and detail-focused in delivery.
• Strong commercial awareness and proactive mindset.
• Comfortable working within a small, collaborative team environment.
