Enable Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Quantity Surveyor – RC Frame / Enabling Works based in Luton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join a contractor delivering groundworks, RC frame, and enabling works projects. The role will involve leading the commercial management of schemes, maintaining financial control, and working closely with project teams to ensure commercially successful delivery.

The successful candidate will need to be confident taking ownership of core commercial responsibilities while also supporting broader business performance through accurate reporting, strong subcontractor management, and proactive risk control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of projects from start through to final account
  • Prepare and manage cost reports, valuations, variations, and forecasts
  • Procure subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts, payments, and change control
  • Work closely with site and project teams to support delivery and protect commercial position
  • Review project performance and identify risks, opportunities, and cost trends
  • Support negotiations with clients and subcontractors where required
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure reporting is timely and reliable
  • Contribute to overall project profitability and commercial discipline

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within RC frame, enabling works, groundworks, or related sectors
  • Strong knowledge of cost reporting, subcontract management, and project commercial controls
  • Good understanding of relevant forms of contract, including NEC and JCT where applicable
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across commercial and operational teams
  • Strong attention to detail and commercially driven mindset
  • Capable of managing own workload and taking ownership of live project finances
