Senior Engineer – Major Civils

Enable Resourcing is recruiting for a Senior Engineer – Major Civils to join a leading contractor delivering complex civil engineering works across Central London.

This role will involve a combination of site-based engineering and office support from the King’s Cross office, taking technical responsibility for sections of major civils packages.

You will play a key role in ensuring engineering excellence, quality assurance and programme performance across high-profile infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Engineer, you will take technical ownership of defined sections of works and oversee site engineering teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing Site Engineers and setting out teams

• Ensuring accurate setting out and technical compliance

• Reviewing drawings and resolving technical queries

• Coordinating with design teams and consultants

• Managing quality assurance documentation and ITPs

• Overseeing inspections and testing regimes

• Maintaining accurate as-built records

• Supporting programme delivery and sequencing

• Assisting Project Managers with reporting and coordination

• Ensuring health and safety compliance across engineering activities

• Supporting preparation and implementation of RAMS

You will ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with design and specification requirements.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or experienced Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects

• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering construction processes

• Experience managing site engineering teams

• Ability to coordinate with design and commercial teams

Required:

• CSCS card

Desirable:

• SMSTS or SSSTS

• Civil Engineering qualification

You will be technically confident, organised and capable of managing complex engineering packages within a busy London project environment.
