An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and well-established landscaping contractor delivering high-quality external works packages across multiple projects.

This role offers the chance to be part of a commercially strong team working on a diverse portfolio of landscaping schemes, with a focus on delivering value and maintaining strong client relationships.

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial team delivering landscaping and external works projects across the Leighton Buzzard region.

The role sits within a specialist landscaping environment and offers exposure to projects operating under NEC forms of contract. This position would suit an established Quantity Surveyor or an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of landscaping and external works packages
• Administration and management of NEC contracts
• Cost planning, forecasting and cash flow management
• Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations
• Managing variations, compensation events and change control
• Procurement, management and final accounts of subcontract packages
• Accurate commercial reporting to senior stakeholders
• Working closely with operational and delivery teams

About You

This role is suited to a commercially aware professional with experience within landscaping, external works, or related construction sectors.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• Background in landscaping, external works, or similar sectors
• Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
• Experience managing subcontract packages and commercial processes
• A proactive, organised and delivery-focused approach
