Enable Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of our client for a number of Site Engineer – Residential Groundworks positions across Southend, Stevenage, Watford and Bovingdon.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Site Engineers to join a contractor delivering residential groundworks schemes across a number of active sites. These positions will suit individuals who are confident operating in live site environments and can provide strong technical support to site teams, ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with programme and specification.

The successful candidates will play a key role in the day-to-day engineering function on site, supporting operational delivery through accurate setting out, quality assurance, technical coordination, and clear site records. As these are live residential groundworks projects, our client is looking for engineers who understand the pace of delivery, the importance of detail, and the need to work closely with site management and subcontractors to keep works moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out across active residential groundworks projects
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to site teams and site management
• Check works against drawings, levels, and specification requirements
• Maintain QA documentation, as-built records, and general engineering files
• Support the coordination of subcontractors and work fronts from an engineering perspective
• Assist in resolving technical queries and practical site issues as they arise
• Help ensure works are completed to the required standard and within programme expectations
• Maintain organised, accurate, and up-to-date site records throughout the duration of the project

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on residential groundworks projects
• Strong setting out capability and confidence working independently on site
• Good understanding of QA procedures, as-built information, and engineering documentation
• Ability to interpret drawings and support practical site delivery effectively
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable working closely with site managers, subcontractors, and wider delivery teams
• Relevant engineering and site qualifications would be beneficial
