Construction Manager – Major Civils & Structures

Enable Resourcing is recruiting for a Construction Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major civils and structural works in Seascale, Cumbria.

This role will support delivery across complex infrastructure and structural packages, ensuring works are executed safely, on programme and in accordance with design, quality and client requirements.

You will play a key operational role in coordinating site activities across multiple work fronts.

Key Responsibilities

As Construction Manager, you will oversee day-to-day site operations across major civils and structural works.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers

• Monitoring programme performance and progress

• Allocating resources effectively across works

• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings and specifications

• Maintaining health and safety compliance across site activities

• Implementing and monitoring RAMS and permit systems

• Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers and Commercial teams

• Supporting planning and sequencing of works

• Monitoring quality standards and site documentation

• Attending progress meetings and reporting to senior management

• Resolving technical and operational issues

You will be instrumental in maintaining structured, safe and efficient site delivery.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Experience within construction or civil engineering environments

• Exposure to major civils or structural works (desirable)

• Experience in a supervisory, site management or construction management role

• Strong organisational and leadership capability

• Good understanding of health and safety and construction processes

Required:

• CSCS card

Desirable:

• SMSTS or SSSTS

• Construction or Civil Engineering qualification

• Experience working on infrastructure or structural projects

You will be proactive, delivery-focused and confident managing multiple work fronts in a busy site environment.
