Logistics Manager – Major Civils & Structures

Enable Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major civils and structural works in Seascale, Cumbria.

This is a fully site-based role responsible for managing all logistics, materials and coordination across a busy infrastructure and structures project.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth movement of plant, materials and personnel to support safe, efficient and programme-driven delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As Logistics Manager, you will oversee all site logistics operations and ensure effective coordination across multiple work fronts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing delivery scheduling and traffic management

• Coordinating plant, equipment and materials movements

• Overseeing storage, laydown areas and site compounds

• Ensuring materials are available in line with programme requirements

• Maintaining and implementing site logistics plans

• Coordinating with Project Managers, Engineers and Subcontractors

• Managing traffic marshals and site access control

• Supporting lifting operations coordination where required

• Ensuring safe vehicle and personnel movements across site

• Monitoring logistics performance and maintaining delivery records

• Attending planning and coordination meetings

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, permits and procedures

You will ensure that logistics operations run efficiently, safely and in alignment with overall programme delivery.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role within construction or civil engineering

• Experience managing logistics on large or complex infrastructure sites

• Strong organisational and coordination skills

• A proactive and safety-focused approach

Required:

• CSCS card

Desirable:

• SMSTS or SSSTS

• Experience in traffic management or lifting coordination

• Experience on major civils or structural projects

You will be confident managing multiple deliveries and stakeholders in a structured, high-paced site environment.
